A Message From MC Sly Wally

It is time for another update on how your favourite band is doing.

Matt and I had a great start to 2008 by playing at an amazing New Year's Eve party in L.A. and scurrying off to Las Vegas for a little trouble. As always, our heartfelt gratitude must be extended to our L.A. connection Allison, Bonnie, Brian and Marcos. I don’t know what we did to deserve such generosity but we are thankful for the opportunity to visit and grateful for their friendship. You will all be glad to know that Marcos and Matt were undefeated Beer Pong champions of Las Vegas (for that night). You’ll have to ask Matt to tell you the tale of their hard fought victory and how they almost lost it all to a pair of L.V. beauties intent on taking their crown.

We have big plans for 2008. We have had the first of what we expect to be many successful nights at The Pour House (182 Dupont). Our next show at The Pour House is Saturday February 16th. Make sure you book the weekend off and come join us for the usual BA merrymaking and debauchery.

Our next show at the Brass will be Friday February 29th (LEAP YEAR). This is not only the last Friday of the month but the only Friday February 29th until 2036. As much as I would like so say that at 65 years of age I will be back on stage at the Brass to mark another Leap Year, I can’t. Somehow I think “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” as sung by a geriatric Jago is not going to be a big crowd pleaser.

Take the opportunity now to ring in this once in a lifetime event. This is St. Baracus Day and New Year's rolled into one big night.

Pity the fools that don’t take the LEAP with the B.A. Baracus Band.
